Liberton Northfield Holiday Club – Feedback

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the
“Landlubbers” holiday club that ran during the October half term break.
A team of 24 “adult volunteers” and 6 “junior helpers” made this club a
success, covering a wide range of tasks – building relationships with
children, presenting the Bible teaching, leading crafts and games,
preparing snacks, and building scenery – to name but a few.
A total of 52 children were registered for the club, with an average of 36
children attending on each day. Only 6 of these children are regular
attendees at Liberton Northfield – but it was good to welcome back
familiar faces from previous holiday clubs, and from the rainbows and
brownies groups that now run at our church – as well as meeting new
families from our community.
The children were full of enthusiasm for all the activities, and it was
encouraging to see around 25 children bringing their families to the
“finale service” on the Sunday at the end.
A big thank-you to all the volunteers, and also to those who supported
us in other practical ways, bringing shoe boxes for the craft activities
and sheets for the scenery. We also appreciated the support of
congregation members who prayed for the club throughout the week.
