Morning Service @ Liberton Northfield Parish Church
Apr 21 @ 11:00 am – 12:15 pm

The Sunday morning services are warm and friendly, from arriving at the door to having a cup of tea or coffee after the service.

As the body of Christ, the leading of the service is usually shared between the worship team, a person leading prayers, and the minister. Friendly folk welcome worshippers at the door and are on hand to help you to a pew, provide information or a glass of water. A gifted team of volunteers provide exquisite flowers each week to bring the beauty of creation into the worship service.

We currently do not have an organist, and so sung worship is led by a guitarist and worship group. With the goal of helping worshippers to encounter God, the hymns range in style. Having a blended worship style is an expression of loving each other because of Jesus.

Morning services begin with the children in the service and there is a short all age talk and song. Children usually then go through to Trailblazers, except when it is a family service. The all age talk and participation of the children at the beginning of the service is appreciated by the whole congregation.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the last Sunday of each month. In te photo to the right, Communion covers can be seePublication2n draped over the pews to symbolise the table cloth being extended to everyone. Thereby we are all seated together at the table.

We have data projectors and an up-to-date sound system with hearing loop. CDs of the service are recorded and available after the service, or for giving out to the housebound and others.  Sermons are also uploaded to Youtube and can be found at Liberton280.  Our active Facebook page can also be found by searching for Liberton Northfield Church.

Approximately 80 – 100 people attend regularly on a Sunday morning (the current roll is 174).  There is ramp access, a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities
